Innovate simplicity.   Loyalty to Quality.   Just be Decent.

100-Series Couplings

Nitto 100-Series Cuplas are used where higher flow rates are required, in heavy duty machinery workshops, and for portable tools such as jack hammers, scabblers, blowdown, and blasting equipment. The swivelling connection of these couplers prevents hose tangles and streamlines the connection process.

Our aim is to provide top quality gear from manufacturers with a reputation for excellence. This is what sets Brüder apart – we really do deliver difference.

Nitto’s genuine steel Hi-Cupla is a rugged, general-purpose quick-connect coupling designed for compressed air service. Built tough and heat-treated in critical areas for long life and superior wear resistance, the Hi-Cupla’s female side contains an integral shut-off valve that automatically blocks supply pressure the moment the plug is removed. Unlike standard Minsup claw couplers, there’s no need to manually isolate or bleed pressure before disconnecting—making change-outs faster, safer, and cleaner. Available in a range of sizes and end configurations to suit factory air lines and pneumatic tools. Note: Standard Hi-Cupla couplings (10, 20, 30, 40 series) are not interchangeable with the 100-series Hi-Cupla couplings (400, 600, 800).

PVR Safety Couplings

SAFE, CONTROLLED AIR DISCONNECTION

The Nitto PVR (Pressure Venting Release) safety coupling is engineered to make compressed air disconnection safer and more controlled. Instead of allowing instant separation under pressure, the PVR mechanism stages the release process — venting residual air before the coupling fully disconnects.

This simple but effective design significantly reduces the risk of hose whip, sudden recoil, and uncontrolled air discharge, making it a practical upgrade for any compressed air system where safety matters.

HOW THE PVR SAFETY MECHANISM WORKS

When disconnecting a standard quick coupling, compressed air can release instantly, often causing the hose to lash or fittings to jump. The PVR system prevents this by introducing a two-step release action. The first movement vents downstream pressure safely to atmosphere. Only once the line is fully depressurised does the coupling allow complete separation.

This staged venting process protects operators, nearby personnel, and equipment — particularly in high-pressure or high-flow applications where stored energy in the airline can be substantial.

BUILT FOR HIGH-USE, DEMANDING ENVIRONMENTS

Nitto PVR couplings are suited to agriculture, mining, construction, workshops, and hire fleets — anywhere hoses are frequently connected and disconnected. In these environments, safety devices must also be durable. Nitto’s precision manufacturing ensures long service life, consistent sealing performance, and dependable operation under repeated use.

Upgrading to a PVR safety coupling is a straightforward way to improve site safety standards without changing your entire air system.
